I have always been very happy with Riverside Doncaster, but have never used the other branches. Service often varies quite a lot by branch. I have also known Riverside Doncaster over multiple cars for over 10 years. This timescale does change the relationship and means a lot more give and take on both sides. If I have a less than perfect experience on one occasion I am far more likely to forgive and forget, knowing that they have looked after me well in the past. Similarly I think they cut me a lot more slack, again because they know me. When my engine failed I know they did loads of the work for free and my bill was thousands of pounds lower than others have been quoted. I will always be grateful to them for that, and it buys a lot of goodwill on my side.

I viewed the EX30 at the launch event in Bradford and was very impressed with Ray Chapman. I bought from Riverside though because of location but also because of the points above.

I think we are quite lucky to have 2 small chains around this area. My experience with Stoneacre and Marshalls is just awful and have said on numerous customer feedback forms that Volvo should nurture smaller chains, not force the chains to merge to form bigger chains where the service just goes down the drain.
