360 replacement carburettor?
Hi folks, my parents neighbour has a nice 1988 360 that’s just nudging 100K miles and could do with a new/good replacement carburettor. He’s struggling to find one, does anyone know of a UK supplier of good or reconditioned replacements? The car is very good body wise but desperately needs a new carburettor.

Spindle wear apparently, it’s been on a rolling road and diagnostics pointed it out hence he’s looking for a replacement.

Do you have any driving symptoms ? a pair of 45 DCOE Webers would do the trick :-)

Yes, it'll be a Solex Cisac Z11 - sounds like the spindle wear will be causing an air leak, I'd recommend getting a good used carburettor - you can still get the consumable parts, such as gaskets, float new.
There are various breakers on the Volvo 300 Mania Facebook group and Dai/Classic Swede may also be able to help. |

Try these people , helped me out in the past when no one else couldhttps://classiccarbs.co.uk/products/other-carburettor-parts/solex-carbs-parts/
Another option if it just worn bushes , locate a model engineer society and ask a member nicely if they can make replacements . done that as well . The custom made bushes were turned out very quickly , used way better material and he reamed the holes parallel Heres hoping for you

That's a good shout, I'd say it's highly likely that it's the worn bushes causing the issue!
