There are EBC pads and drilled/slotted discs if you want an improvement
But for day to day road use, probably not worth it.
You’d have to tell your insurance as it’s a modification

To get maximum effect you’d also have to up rate or renew your tyres too!
Pointless having new updated sharp brakes with halfworn/midrange tyres IMHO

If your brakes can trigger the ABS on a good surface in good conditions, then your weak spot for braking traction is your tyres. If you want to upgrade your stopping potential the money would be better spent on the rubber.

If your brakes fade (long descents towing a caravan for example), then potentially updated brakes may help.

Said this so many times before - so many police forces (traffic, RPU,firearms etc) run standard Volvo discs and pads, regardless of the rumour mill, they seem to be able to run on the limit with no issue. Tyres and pressures are key to be able to maximise stopping power etc which isn’t rocket science.

If anyone finds they beyond the limit of standard discs and pads they might need to look at the driving style.

I've not tried them on my V90 yet but I have had great results on both a Hyundai i40 and a ford Smax with brembo drilled disks and extra pads, cope well with cold stops and haven't warped from my enthusiastic driving. only noticed a little more noise from them in the i40 when doing very hard stops.

In total agreement, I drive my T8 on its limits most of the time, and its only ever had fade once.

EBC pads haven't been tested by the Volvo safety teams, I wouldn't change away from genuine pads after seeing horror stories of the entire friction compound coming away from the metal backing plate on EBCs under heavy braking.

Didn't take me long to see top Google hit of the exact issue I've seen with yellow stuff or green pads before.
