I am dealing with an SRS warning light at the moment, I saw another post on here about sending off the SRS sensor for a crash data reset, so that's what I've done. I drive a 1998 V70 2.5 litre. Getting at the sensor was pretty easy, just removed the central console to access it.

You might be able to get a reader, like an iCarsoft or something that can reset the sensor after a steering wheel replacement.
