C70 automatic convertible.2000 reg warning lights
Hi all, first post, and its an electrics problem, i have to clear warning lights that are random numbering 1 to 5 lights at a time on the dash, the speedo drops to zero for most parts of a journey, not great for speed traps...im looking for advice please to hopefully solve, i don't really want to pay for auto electrician at a vague time at £40 an hour. Read alot about it already i wonder if anyone could kindly help its in long Eaton notts at the moment, i need to remove the lights permanently for next mot which has just gone by, but in extended grace period due to lockdown
Thanks everyone for any help |

Hi mate, Not to sure if this will help but this is my 2 cents, as i have face a similar problem, if the lights you are talking about are the tcs/abs and break warning signs with the loss of speedo.. i would lean on a faulty abs module,, the solder dries out and gives an intermittent fault, the outer option is the ns abs sensor as this is where the module gets its speed from,. there are plenty of helpful diys around to help with the abs module repair. you just need some patience and some basic soldering skills. |

If you remove the light permanently, by removing the bulbs I presume, it will definitely fail the MOT...warning lights are there for a reason and if they don't illuminate when the ignition is switched on and go off as they should, the tester will know what you've done...
Might help if you let us know which lights are showing, but as the previous post said, if the speedo stops it sounds like a wheel speed sensor/abs module problem Last edited by volvo again; May 10th, 2020 at 17:15. |

Varies from 1 light to 5 so pretty much full compliment! Always engine warning light.. abs (new sensor fitted previously...light came back)

I would probably say its the module then, you can pick the whole module up on ebay and the like if you dont want/cant repair yours, then its simply justa job of swapping them and clearing the codes!
