Hi guys, my first time on a forum, so please be gentle.
I have a 2008 v50 d5 auto, recently having issues with starter motor not disengaging after engine has started and continuing to run even after the engine has stopped, key out of ignition and starter motor fuse has been pulled! It is intermittent, sometimes it just blows the fuse, other times you can hear the starter motor wailing when the engine is running, but cutting off the power doesn't always stop it. I've had the ignition switch and starter motor replaced and the only way around the problem we can see is to fit a relay to the starter motor to cut out the feed once engine has started. What i'm after is some advice, or access to a wiring diagram to help my mechanic find the problem. Help!! |
