Volvo V70 cluster dash issues
Hello Everyone,
I hope all is well today, i wondered if somone would be able to help me with an issue I have with my lovely Volvo V70 2.4l petrol Mk2 (p2), Recently, ive been having cluster dash issues (ive heard they are common on these models and years) and have sent mine off to a company that specialise in repairing them. When I got the cluster back, it worked flawlessly for 2 days until all of a sudden the dials went crazy and lights flickered etc. I sent the cluster back again for further inspection (repaired the man PCB, electronics and replaced bulbs), When they sent it back it too worked flawlessly for 3 days until recently, from what i recall, the speedo and revs stopped working (stuck at a random place), and then all dials fail to operate, the displays (where service information, symbols etc light up) are now dim and hard to read. When I did put this cluster back, there were several warning messages, i.e SRS service light (the company advised me to have it deleted at a volvo garage, which it is booked into), parking bulb failure (replaced bulbs and they work now), alarm system service check, and time for regular service. Im not sure what is causing the cluster to fail after a few days, Im wondering if the engine ECU has something to do with it or some other external system causing issues as I cant seem to figure it out, I did take this back to a volvo dealership many weeks ago and they couldnt communicate with the cluster dash at all, but by then I had sent it off to be repaired (mentioned). I did at some point put another ignition switch in the V70 thinking the copper plates in the original one were bad but it didnt seem to make much progress (it did work for a small time though) If anyone could advise me on what to do, I would be very grateful for the advice and information. Thanks all! |
