Default Automatic handbrake stuck on

So, was driving to the airport yesterday..stopped as some traffic lights near my house and when I went to pull away... Nothing

The handbrake didn't release at biting point.

It didn't release pressing the button (pushing it or pulling it).

It didn't release standing on the break

It didn't release after turning the car on and off again

As I was at a busy junction, I can to drag my car (with the rear drivers side wheel locked) on three wheels to a side street where I will now stay until I get home from holiday

Is there anything I can do, or will it just have to get towed to a garage upon my return?
