Unknown wire
Does anyone else have this black wire coming through the passenger side firewall. And if so can they tell me where it goes to.
Also is there supposed to be anything into this connector? Are the 2 related? |

Could you have a dig around under the dash and get someone to wiggle it back and forth to find it and trace it to where it starts?

Is anything not working?
I've often found wires that don't go anywhere. Typically they are either for options that were never fitted on that car, or previous owners' extras since removed. Volvo fitted out all their cars with the facility to have all the options - eg all cars have the wiring for a tachometer even if they only have the large clock. Right to the end of the run they provided tappings in the chassis for the earlier overdrive gearbox. If everything is working properly I wouldn't worry too much about the odd wire. |

On this car I have similar wires, the one with the connector is blue with a red numbered sleeve- nothing else attached (Connector looks to be the same as pictured) The under bonnet light comes through the wing structure and then into the bonnet support structure then reappears as it enters the light itself- this is black but has a loose protective loom sleeve.
