Default Fuel Filter

OK folks, although everything remains fine with the car I think the advice about booking it in for a filter swap is wise. It's booked in tomorrow (1 August) and the dealer has said they'll also read the error code and let me know.

Best to be on the safe side.

Default Fuel filter etc.

Sorry for the delay people. Delay caused by experience of parting with my £370 hard earned cash!

Dealer replaced the fuel filter as per my request but the error code suggested that the DPF needed changing. The dealer was quite good and they explained things.

So, £370 later, all is fine and we've had the car running for about a thousand miles & a few months.

There you go. Shame as I thought the fuel treatment would have been sufficient. The warning light was extinguished but, safety first, and so we opted for the filter and DPF.

Moral of this story - don't run the fuel tank too low (silt risk) and I've downloaded an i-phone app telling me where my nearest Shell stations are (I filled up from a small station in Yorkshire because I couldn't find a better place).
