Question Sticking Throttle Control Wheel

My throttle control wheel which has the throttle cable and kick-down cable attached to it seems to get stuck when the car hasn't been used for a day or so. I have to open the bonnet and grip the wheel and turn it to free it, after which it works fine. I've completely dismantled it and cleaned and re-lubricated it but it still sticks. Both cables are free and moving in their housings. I can't for the life of me see what is making it stick. Has anyone else had this problem?

Does the linkage from the cable drum to the throttle itself get jammed up in anyway, or there could be a slight bend in the spindle the cable drum is attached to or perhaps does your cable drum have a return spring on it if so the return spring could be binding on something.

Rusty
Throttle linkage is all ok. The drum has 2 internal springs which I cleaned and are back in place. Its definitely the wheel/drum that's sticking as I detached cables and linkage to check.
