Default 850R turqoise blue

Hi everyone

Firstly an introduction, Im Max i'm 37 years old and am an electrical supervisor at the international broadcasting center at the London Olympics. I used to be a delivery driver for Volvo tds tourist and diplomatic sales in Welham green in Hertfordshire and this is where i found my love for the 850 t5r and 850r but prodominantly the second of the forementioned cars.

I have now come to a stage in my life where these are more than affordable and im at an age where i can insure the damned things lol. It was a little unreasonable when i was 20 odd years old and they cost in the region of £35000 new.

Well iv found one and am looking at adding an extra row of seats to change it from a 5 seat 850r to a 7 seat 850r can anyone see any draw backs and what would i look at spending on that extra row of seats? theres probably more questions but i'll add those later.

Edit :- Also is it possible to have a gas conversion on the 850r and how would it affect the car this is not a necessity.

If you have teh 7 seats the LPG tank will need to be much smaller.

Good look with the car ! I too just love the 850 models !
If you do go LPG, be sure to use Dai ( classic swede ), very fair & excellent workmanship.
I have found the bigger gas tank useful, gives a much better range.
If it is a long time purchase.. go Gas, you can drive it hard & still get equivalent 40 MPG !!.
Which makes the smile factor twice as big when driving these cars !

Welcome Max.
I'm a new 850R owner and I may be looking to LPG it but as its more than likely just going to be a car for high days and holidays, not a daily driver so I'm not sure.
Just thinking if I can get 40mpg I could use it as a daily but with 220,000 odd miles maybe I should just keep,it for best!
