I have a 2000 S40 2.0 petrol . Switched on engine and heater this morning and could smell fuel? Turned off heater no smell of fuel? Any ideas? I am thinking get it hooked up with diagnostics and go from there. |

hooked up with diagnostics , If you mean a reader/vida that will not show you all you need to know, it may not help at all,
You have a fuel leak, the best tools for this is your eyes and nose, lift the bonnet and look at all the fuel pipes/ injectors, and there mounting in the head and fuel rail, pressure regulator, DONT USE A LIGHTER OR A MATCH TO SEE, I would not drive the car until it has been fixed, have you got any brake down cover ? so you can call them, Dave |
