Default Help Me Diagnose my Volvo Problem. Please.

Hi All.

I have a very trusted steed known as my volvo c30.

On the Way home today I was doing a little over 70 on a motorway. Until I suddenly lost power, the engine failed and all lights went flashed up on the dash. Similar to what happens during a stall.

I slowly went to the inner lane but before I went onto the hard shoulder I attempted to restart which It did. But the engine light came on & the engine is vibrating big time. Whenever I tried to accelerate over 40mph the engine cuts out, there is an sound coming from under the bonnet also.

Luckily I was 2 miles from home so I drove home.

1) The engine temp was in the middle (normal)
2) After opening the bonnet there is liquid on the inside of the hood near the reservoir. The liquid feels oily.
3) The vibrations at idle are really jarring and bad
4) The engine warning light stays on.
5)The Coolant is medium full & engine oil on dipstick is between two notches (ok)

Guys What can it be?

Hmmm doesn't sound good. I so glad to even get one reply here.

Can you describe this moisture? Picture taken 20 mins after failure.

If I was to self diagnose I would say "moisture of the coolant leaked onto the engine mount causing a faliure" But would shaking cause the enging light to show up?

If you post in the C30 forum, it would help other members if you tell them more about your car, for instance engine size and type, transmission type, age, mileage etc.

This information will help to guide their responses.
