Default Glow plug control unit location & question (2008 V70)

Hi all
The V70 is very rough & lumpy on cold morning starts; and sometimes cuts out after 1-2 secs running. After a couple or three goes it will fire up OK. The local garage did a fault code read and say the glow plug control module is showing fault.

They also said they couldn't find the part, and thought it might need coding to the ECU.. I find the first bit surprising and the coding bit very doubtful.. this is a unit that superceded the older relay I think?
But if it does need coding, please shout!

Whereabouts would the unit live in the engine bay? I had a look around but I'm not really sure what physical size the thing is or where it might live -

Thanks -
Bill

Has the garage done a leak back test on the injectors?

Easily done and it needs checking with those symptoms.

Thanks, I don't think they did - stopped when the code reader gave the fault reader as far as I know (other half took it to the garage)
