Thank you for the in-depth replies
![]() So the wheels on it do have a Volvo part number, and were confirmed by Volvo (my garage rang Ray Chapman's) as being for a v60 (that said, I can't seem to find a photo of a v60 with that style on). By loose, they meant it didn't sit on the hub boss as snuggly as the others they tried. A look on Google suggests that perhaps these wheels do have hub rings fitted... perhaps some idiot lost them? I dunno. Once they have taken the measurements for me (the car is still with them), I'll get some ordered or fabricated. The crap tyres will be changed once they have recovered from laying out for the car and having the cambelt etc done ![]() Once this car is sorted, I'll need to decide what to do with my poor s60... Time is catching up and it's leaking steering fluid!

A little update...
The bore diameter of the wheels has been measured as 64.4mm and they are part number 30647837. The look to be from a C30. Again, the garage said "usually you can finger tighten bolts before finishing them, with these, it is much more difficult". I note the V60 uses M16 bolts and C30 uses M12. Getting hub rings 1mm wide may proven challenging!!!

I personally would have the PCD (Pitch Circle Diameter) checked. From what you have said above, there could be a slight discrepancy hence the bolts being very tight.

Your hub is 63.4mm (P3 shape, so it should be). Your existing alloys are 64.4mm... that doesn't make sense. If they're original Volvo alloys, which they look to be with that part number, then I can't see how they'd be 1mm bigger. Volvo alloys are designed/machined to fit perfectly onto the hub (providing they're the right ones for the model year/model that is). I think its a measuring error being honest... 1mm just doesn't sound right. The problem you have is these alloys aren't for a V60... they're for a C30. These alloys have a slightly different offset to what should be on the car & different lug nuts too. If they were V60 alloys with 17" tyres to match, they should have a 50mm offset. Looking at the part number you gave, they have a 52.5mm offset. This means they sit slightly further out from the hub, not much, but further than they should. Then you have the wrong lug nuts because these alloys currently on the vehicle aren't what's supposed to be on it. So wrong lug nuts = loose wheel because it can't tighten properly = vibration. V60 uses M14 lug nuts, as far as I know. The C30 uses M12. Hub rings won't solve your issue... the measurements are incorrect, the alloys are the wrong ones for this car & the lug nuts aren't the right ones. The wheel won't ever be tight enough to the hub for these reasons.

Yeah...I feared this would be the case if I am honest! Looks like replacement wheels are the way to go! Appreciate the responses guys, thank you.

Have a look on Ebay, Facebook Marketplace or even Volvo Breakers yards. You might come across a used set. I just had a quick look for you & come across this set from a 2013 plate V60 with 75k on; https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/164880049...sAAOSwSs9gqmNU These are called "Pallene" alloys (original fitment to the V60 & other Volvo models). As they're original fitment, the offset (50mm) is also correct, as is the centre bore (63.4mm) & pcd (5x108). They look to be in very good condition, with the correct tyres (215/50/R17) for the alloy & the car itself with tread on. Yes, there's the odd mark here & there on the alloys, but they're still very representable in my opinion. Delivery options are also available. ![]() I'm not sure what brand the tyres are, but I think they're GT radials. These would cost around £70 each new, so they aren't premium tyres like Michelin or Pirelli... more of a mid-range tyre.
