AC Compressor filter
Hi. Can anyone confirm if there is an electrical capacitor (spike filter) on their AC Compressor?
The reason to ask is we had a new Compressor fitted recently and since then we get a pop through the radio whenever we activate the AC switch. Its not every time and not so much when the compressor is cycling on/off but more when we activate the dashboard switch. I seem to remember seeing what looked a little bit like a points capacitor on the lead at the old compressor when peering down from the top of the engine bay, but its not there on the new compressor. Wondering if the installer disposed of it? |
