I have a 2005 Volvo S40 T5 turbo AWD the CEM (passenger Fuse box) the Roof-2 port has a few missing connector does anyone know what the port controls. Attached is a photo of the port.

There should only be 18 pins present in that connector, the remaining positions are usually empty.
This feeds the roof control loom, so it's the switches and indicator leds for the buttons by the rear view mirror, the mirror itself (if it's an auto dipping mirror), sun roof motor/controls, rain sensor, the mass movement alarm sensor in the roof and the remote receiver module. Are any of the above parts not functioning correctly? The green patch inside this connector appears to indicate corrosion of the contacts, so this needs to be cleaned up on both the CEM, and the wiring harness connector. When cleaning the harness, it's best to remove the coloured outer shell of the connector so you can see if the contacts inside are corroded, or if any wires are detached from the contacts. |
