V40 Rear Shock Mounts
I've got some knocking in the rear suspension that I suspect is the shock mounts. V40 1.6 D2 from 2012.
None of the online parts stores seem to list a rear shock mount for the V40. Speaking to my local Volvo dealership, they seem to have them listed as "Rear Support Plate" at £71 +VAT each Can anyone help me with a part number, or help me understand if these suspension components are common to the Ford Focus? I can find them for under £15 for the focus, which feels much more like it. https://www.autopartspro.co.uk/gsp-9855451 Thanks! |

Can not find anyone who sells pattern parts so main dealer part only Its.... Gulp £127.20 for the mount itself, extra if you require the bolts too

I was wondering this as none were listed on some sites I used.
Having searched e-bay there are numerous listings that show full shock absorbers with the top mounts attached and they look identical to ones for a C30, V50 etc. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/145721679...3ABFBM8Jn32eRj

i agree petey they do look exactly the same as the v50 s40 ones the op could order some to find out if they are the same they would be an easy resell if found not to be correct as these things fail all the time as they are quite flimsy little mounting points and cannot take the punishment of todays potholed surfaces disguised as roads

I had a look at them today whilst I had the car jacked up checking if a wheel bearing was bad.
Not sure if it's brake scrape or a bad bearing....???? No play at all. Anyway. They do look exactly the same as the V50 etc. ones. As you say Simmy, easy enough to shift on if not, but I'll be ordering a set eventually and upgrading to B6 shocks (when funds allow), just as I did on the V50. Ideally we could do with a side by side of them.
