Hard to find front suspension hollow wobble noise
My local garage is stumped v40 78k miles developed this strange hollow wobble light knocking after going round a roundabout and NS wheel dropped into a pot hole. All suspension checked and ok it’s not strut mounts, spring, drop link , anti roll bar bushes. Inner track rod ends changed as slight play found but hollow wobble knocking still there! Garage can’t replicate on their ramp with shakers engaged either? Maybe steering rack itself? Does it have plastic bushes like BMW? No steering issues or vibration it handles fine in corners and straight line. Engine under tray removed and nothing sitting in it so refitted securely

V40 Chasis vibration at motorway speeds.
Did you get any further with this? My (1.6 V40 D2 NAV Lux 2013 72k has a chasis vibration at 65mph and almost evens out at 75 mph. My garage has gone over all the possibilities you might expect including cv joint, and all the rods you mentioned, trying to find the cause but can find nothing. Mechanic has driven it and says it's significant and he thinks it's originating at the front of the vehicle. In an attempt to eliminate possibilities I will renew pads and discs next although they would only warrent an advisory in an MOT see if that helps. VOLVO healthcheck didn't see anything either. I should add, the dealership it came from a month ago, has gone bankrupt so no warrenty cover, I'm afraid. Any ideas? Otherwise, it drives well.
