Volvo 850 2.0 SE Auto For Sale
As mentioned previously I’m having a clear out so I’ve decided to put this up for sale reluctantly. I bought this from a trader friend to use as a daily in a new job that was local but it fell through so it’s been parked up in my lock up since April.
The car is 1994 on M plate and it’s in SE spec. Drivetrain is 2.0 petrol with auto gearbox and drives really smooth. Mot is until March next year and passed with only 1 advisory on the inner tie rods which has been an advisory for the past few tests. If I was keeping it then I would have changed them. Mileage is 131k or so but drives like half that. It’s been in the same family since new until I picked it up with over 20 stamps across 2 service books. The belt has been changed but it was a while ago according to the records and for safety probably should be changed again. Electric windows, central locking and heated seats all work as they should. When it was in for the mot the tester commented on how it’s never been welded underneath and there’s no signs of corrosion anywhere which is more than I can say about my T5 before it was restored. There was originally steel wheels and trims fitted but there was a trim missing and the wheels were a bit crusty so I fitted a set of alloys I had sitting using the tyres on the steels which were all Falkens that are like new. The only things I can say against the car that a couple of the wheel arches have very minor surface corrosion on the edge that I’ve pictured, the electric aerial is seized, there’s a couple of scuffs on the grey of the front bumper, stone chips on the bonnet and a bit of paint peel around the rear quarter light window. I’ve also removed the paint on the trims that go up the side of the windscreen and over the roof as it was flaking and didn’t look good. The snow trays will be removed prior to sale as they are from my T5 and a set of normal mats will be fitted. There’s times I actually prefer this to my T5 as it’s good just to sit back and relax and it’s effortless to drive. This is the tricky part when it comes to pricing so I’m going with the first price that came into my head of £1800 or nearest offer. Hopefully I haven’t bored you all to tears with my never ending drivel and if you’re interested in a decent, honest old car then let me know before I end up sending it to WB & Sons for the next sale in July. If you’ve stayed to the end, thanks for reading and if there’s any questions just give me a shout. Joe |
