Hi, I have just done this upgrade which I got from Evgeny. Cost £20. Follow the instructions on youtube. Very easy to do, took me 20 minutes. Tailgate lights match the panel lights and the barke lights work as they should do. If you want to upgrade this is the cheapest and easiest way to do it without forking out a fortune!!

Although in theory you only need a 3w resistor, given it is in a confined space I would recommend using at least 5w, preferably 10.
Tried to send you a PM, but I can't as I'm new . Will post my message here.

Came across your comment about the V70 light mod, and that you used a variable resistor to get the 50 ohm value.

Can you advise if any variable resistor can used? I am looking to buy this one - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/266048890...r=565905682980

I note you mentioned ' Although in theory you only need a 3w resistor, given it is in a confined space I would recommend using at least 5w, preferably 10.
'

The readily available variable resistors I've linked above all have a power rating of Linear 0.1W. I'm struggling to find anything higher.

Any advice please?

Many thanks

You dont need a potentiometer, plenty of 5w 50 ohm resistors on ebay.

I fitted a kit from Evgeny in Russia pre Covid and it's still working perfectly 5 years on. i wish I'd taken it apart and photographed the components so I could build my own... It was a pretty simple job to fit it.
