I can make the same guarantee the manufacturers of the pipe make, and the British Standard to which it must comply to be sold as fuel pipe. I don't know what this is off the top of my head, but I could look it up if I needed to. Plus, I would use stainless steel jubilee clips, which exceeds volvo specification. I found out the hard way.
Modern fuel pipe with metal corrosion-immune connectors instead of plastic sounds as good a repair as can be expected realistically to me and likely better than the 'original' originality it started with, and certainly better than a secondhand one with the right clips, already 25 years old and breaking down petrochemically, with plastic connectors hardened with age and likely to break when squeezed on. Yes, I can vouch for that. I have full confidence I could effect such a repair. And I have. |
