"The firm insists the EV remains on sale, with examples currently in dealer stock available..." Those in dealer stock are probably the ones returned by dissatisfied customers!

New cars, new teething problems. It’s like everything else, the tech needs to catch up. In the meantime, the development churns on.

It's similar to the games industry BS, where they release a glitchy buggy game and then patch it later when players report issues. The players became the testers, so too have modern car owners.

Same with phones and websites - crap programmers everywhere.

As a 'veteran' of that industry, allow me to offer an alternative perspective on what you see happening. And it is happening.

Testing. Software *testing* is extremely difficult to do properly and with it, very time consuming and hence expensive. Expensive both in direct monetary terms (personnel and resources) and to the release timescales companies set.

Senior corporate management doesn't like time-consuming and doesn't like expensive - they get in the way of profits. So they work on the principle you've identified - if we can fix it in "post" after the release, then we'll do that. Always time and money to do it twice, and risk customer dissatisfaction with it.

^ Exactly that, spent years running around chasing problems after some idiot decided getting it out this month was more important than p*ssing off the customer.

Cost us a lot of very valuable, multi-million valuable, customers too.

Gave it up for glass blowing, playing with fire is much less stressful.

Calm down. You need to realise that the EX series is still in Beta.
