V50 Powershift problem?
My V50 Engine light, ABS light, anti skid warning etc etc are lit. Sometimes when driving away it stays in first gear, take the foot off the throttle and back on again and it's OK. I have cleared all of the warning lights only for them to come back on again a short time later. Disconnected the battery for about ten minutes then reconnected, same problem. Now the drivers side window is no longer 'one touch' have to hold the switch down. I haven't got much hair left to pull out now.
Any help would be appreciated. I don't want to go to a 'proper' Volvo garage if I can help it due to cost. The Powershift gearbox oil was changed about eight years ago. How often should it be changed? and is this part of the problem? Cheers Brian

Its guess work without diagnostics. Really it needs to be plugged in to see what's going on. Although, as it appears to be a shifting problem, the trans fluid would be a start.

Thanks, just had a quote for changing oil at £350 for full service from a so called gearbox expert.. Don't know if he means full car service or gearbox service. I didn't speak to him myself.

It turned out that after testing the gearbox oil didn't need changing. The front right ABS Sensor was changed and it made no difference. After another diagnostic test they found that the from right wheel bearing was worn. This was replaced this morning at a cost of £236. Now all warning lights are now OK Have had this intermittent problem for years and it turns out to be a wheel bearing. Anyway, thought I would post this as it might help someone in the future.
