Took to mechanic today for 10k service.... 308k completed.
Have had no issues since 16th April.
Told mechanic after service issue and he said it happened to him when he went to start my car to move into garage.
He took key out and locked and unlocked doors and started when inserted again.
No Codes on OBD scanner gave him any concern or reason to further investigate.

I thought I had a leaky pipe/clamp from coolant plastic container... mechanic now says container is cracked and needs replacing. Could any fluid from this container cause my electrical starting issue????

Now to mention this engine immobilizer antenna connector to mechanic. Where's is it located please?

So go for a drive for 30 minutes stop and it starts again and drive home.
Now I'm told it could be the starter or solenoid ???
Where is the starter located as the vvt solenoid is on top of engine.

Could my 8 year old battery be fine and actually the starter or solenoid issue?
you could well have corroded + Live wires which go from one side to the other under the radiator and up to supply the dash. This problem has been growing for the last 15 years or so. There was a fault with the loom making machine and it left perforations in the thicker red wires in this loom and water got in and rotted the wires.

I would lower the loom and cut the sheath off and carefully examine the thicker red wires across the bottom and up the sides of the radiator. look for bulges and prick marks.

Mechanic saying replace the starter motor relay first after watching video I posted.
Mentioned connection to starter motor test but it's a two man job and need issue to occur to test?
Rules out immobilizer connector antenna suggestion and looms.

Start issue occurred again on 26/7/24.
After trying on/off, lock/unlock headlights on/off, glove box open close, tap the inside and outside fuse box, open close hood, tap cables near alternator/starter motor.

Turns out I removed the phone charger 2000ma from the cigarette lighter and car started no issues!!!

Can/is the phone charger shorting or disrupting the relays/circuit connection to start the car?
Is this a known cause of issue???
