How long does the coolant container last and cost to replace
I thought I hand a leaky pipe or connection to my coolant container, but the mechanic now says the container has cracked and needs replacing.... lasted 22 years!
Is that about average lasting time? How much is a new one in your country? Mine has to come from interstate and cost $123AU delivered for a 20 cent container.... Not Happy Jan 😡🙄 |

Depends. There's aftermarket coolant reservoirs that can be picked up for £30-£40 ($57-$75 Australian dollars approx). A Genuine Volvo reservoir would be £80 ($150 Australian dollars) here in the UK. Delivery fees aren't included in that.
I don't think 22 years is bad at all. Its an old car, things break.

Entirely possible. You live in a much warmer climate than us over here. Heat can cause cracks, as can extreme cold.
