No problem.

Its definitely worth it and its also worth claiming back any congestion fees you've paid that you shouldn't have. I don't know how long that process takes, but you can do it if you wish.

Bigger issue on the EV front….. Someone has dared to call the new Ford EV…. Capri. Sacrilege!!!! Well, to some maybe anyway. I never lived the Capri and they wasn’t that much of a decent car tbh. Uh well, keeps the diehards busy.

Ford should not have called it the Capri, should be Polestar 2.1 because that’s what it looks like from the side!

Capri was a good car in its day, from an era where everyone took any old saloon and made a 2 door body for it and called it a "Sports Coupe" and then it sold. Like the VW Scirocco, Vauxhall Calibra, even Volvo did it (and very well) with the Mk 1 C70.

When we think of the Capri we think of the 2.8i and Tickford versions, but best seller was a 1.6GL there was even a 1.3L.

I think they would have been better resurrecting the Anglia name for this car. Ah well, I was never a Capri kid anyway. Thank goodness they left the Cortina name alone. Then they could make a low, sleek version and call that the Capri, I think it's a bit of a shot in the foot.

It's when the fat, bloated car next door opens it's rear doors to embark passengers as the parent starts a diesel engine, in a car marked up as a "Cooper" you realise nothing really matters anymore.

Why has nobody re-invented the Stag?

As a marketing tool it has got everyone talking.

I got my driving licence the year they stopped making the Capri, it was never on my car want list.
As they're stopping the Focus next year should have continued with that name, everyone knows the Focus is a five door hatch, estate or, in southern Europe, saloon car.

If that car can genuinely do 350+ miles on a single charge without resorting to 30mph everywhere, they won't be able to make them quick enough.

It usually dooms a car when it gets associated with the Capri. Ford advertised the Probe as the next Capri and look how that turned out. Capri has its place in history, leave it there.

If I was in the market for an electric car in the category into which this new Capri fits I would seriously consider it. It is a Ford product with all the good stuff that goes with buying one of their cars and maintaining it in the longer run. It has a certain simple elegance about it unlike many cars in its category.... it is not vulgar and will likely age well.

Then you have the not dissimilar P*s, through and through chinese cars.... pretty yes, but.... but my money would be on those who buy them regretting having not invested in a product not associated with the Chinese state in the not too distant future..... same for the Volvo badged stuff....
