Ah I see - when I went to fill up to night - the display was saying 15 miles to empty tank

Then again it's based on recent driving and I'd just left the office and gunned it round the corner to get some juice - so 3 litres left in the tank was about right.

Even with 3 litres that could give, what 20-30 miles? It was telling me 40-50 miles, I was being extra careful when I got the dreaded yellow light. Since I had no idea of how long I had.

Either way 3 litres doesn't seem to give a lot of notice to fill up especially in the middle of Scotland's rolling hills. But as I said I'll just have to adjust.

There is presumably a couple of litres left in the pipes but I don't want to get that low, just in case.

My XC60 is MY2009, D5 185 bhp AWD Geartronic.

On long trips, the low fuel warning light comes on, with around 60 miles left, to empty tank.
Normally, I never let it get this low.
