Nothing to see here, move along now.
That probably says more about poor health and safety, fire alarms and evacuation procedures at that factory than batteries.

Go back 4 or 5 years I would've loved a Tesla. Just because they were cool.

Now, nah.

Sometimes, when I signal left, the automatic wipers work. Then the instrument dashboard light started dimming after time. When I first start the car, it's ok and bright. But then it starts to dim the more I drive until it is no longer readable. Then the driver-side automatic window started to "lose power" as well. When I first start the car, everything is fine. But after I drive a bit, it stops rolling back up. Today, I started the car and the whole dashboard wasn't working. No warning signs. No lights. Even the speedometer and the petrol meter didn't move. After removing & inserting the key multiple times, they worked again, but now the SRS restraint system control worning is on. I checked all the fuses and couldn't find any fault in any of them. I had the window switch checked, and there doesn't seem to be a problem in it. I'm not sure where the problem is, whether it's a faulty SAM or a battery issue or what exactly. I took it to a garage and they couldn't figure out what's wrong with it. I'm due to take it to another garage soon, but I'd like to have a general idea what to look for so that we don't miss anything this time.
Suggest you open this as a separate thread.

That's a big change. A £10 a year exemption fee to drive an EV in London congestion zones will now become £15 a day...

Don't forget... EV's also have to pay road tax as of next year too.

So basically, this promotes ditching the EV and driving an ordinary car. If you have to pay £15 a day to drive an EV into a congestion zone, you pay the same in an ICE vehicle. Plus if that vehicle happens to be euro 6 diesel or euro 4 petrol, you don't pay a ULEZ fee either (EV owners don't pay ULEZ either because they're "complaint").

Just shows, its about money.

Indeed, if it was truly about air quality and pollution, they would never charge EVs.

How long before people who run leccy company cars start getting hot with a BiK charge for the "free fuel" that is supplied by their workplace ?

With a new government in charge, looking to raise some shekkels (to spaff up the wall), it's a easy one for them to do.

None too sure if taxes raised are spaffed against the wall if applied to improvements in the NHS... not to mention education.... the judicial system, police, probation service, prison service, our military and so on and so forth...

Somehow some amongst us have to learn that public services are paid for only... ever.... out of taxation, and learn to value what our taxes buy for us.....

It won't stop there either. They'll be figuring out a way to recover lost revenue from fuel duty next.
