I dought all the injectors have failed at once, when the belt failed has it damaged anything else? Is the battery still good? It will soon run down if driven without a functioning alternator. And as suggested a clear of the fault codes and a re scan should hopefully guide you.

"smart alternator faults "
Have you a genuine volvo Alternator which is controlled by the cars central computer?

I suspect you have the wrong alternator without this and hence a battery in a low state of charge causing all the rest of the faults.

Hi all

Had battery off car and charging all day.
Reset codes with vida and still won't start.
Get code p229100 injector control pressure too low.
Any ideas what to look at next?
Thanks all
That's the only code showing (at the moment)

In Vida you can measure the fuel rail pressure, the engine needs a min of 200 bar approx to even think about starting. What is it reading? That’s basically what the code is saying.

Possible causes could be anything from a failed high pressure pump, there is no in tank pump on a D2, a leaking injector draining the system down either leaking back or leaking into the engine or the simplest and always where you would start is a blocked fuel filter. When was the filter last changed? Is is a genuine one with the blue dot on top?

What I don’t get is why this has come about after a belt failure……… is this the only code you now get.

Clan mentioned the alternator and that is a common mistake that gets made, tho the alternator is controlled via the a single wire plug. As long as this is plugged in to the alternator all should be good with that.

If it helps someone later on.
Been to local volvo indi and they diagnosed as low side fuel pressure sensor. New fuel filter and housing and all up and running again. Apparently the sensor is built into the housing on the d2.
