It would encourage further carbon build-up that would further block the drain holes in the oil control rings. This would cause more engine oil to be left in the combustion chamber for burning along with the fuel/air mixture, leading to further carbon build-up which would cause more blockage of the drain holes which would cause........ To infinity and beyond!

Well how do you explain the lowered consumption on that Audi then? We haven't taken the engine apart, but it is well documented the piston rings have the exact same problem (carbon inside the oil rings) like the early vea engines and I'm 90% sure that Audi has the same thing. Anyways, it's just an idea when you just need the car to drive a little more and you're gonna throw it away afterwards, cause it obviously doesn't solve the problem. We also had the same thing with some subarus (fb16 engine i think), subaru switzerland just told everyone to switch from 5w-30 to 10w-40 and that made some difference (it was also the oil ring thing).
