I just don't get it.
Surely someone somewhere can track it, know it's exact location and when it will be transported? |

I guess they'd just take the stance that at this time of year most people are happy to wait for new plate for the car, in much the same way I wouldn't take mine in December when it's a year newer for sales engines in January regardless of same plate.

1st March is only 7 days away and the dealer needs time to PDI etc.
Plus I want mine to a detailers before it's registered for paint correction and ceramic coating. Chance of getting to the dealer within 7 days? Doesn't bode well based on above posts. |

I was told I would get my XC90 (ordered in October) by the end of December. Apparently it has been sitting at the dock since then with the dealer unable to tell me when I will get it. Feeling rather underwhelmed by this

I've just spoken to dealer, still no sign of the car, nor any information on when it will be transported.
Now on hold to Volvo UK Customer Services... Not gonna hit March 1st are we?! |

I’m now told mid March. 7 weeks wait while the car sits at a U.K. port. Amazing situation.

I've got a VIN now...
Customer Services have promised to email me by the end of the day with their findings. Crazy situation, I've got a car, that I am willing to pay for NOW, except it's sat in dockside parking with no idea when it will come to the dealer. Surely they'd be thinking of cash flow... |

Mmm. Don’t hold your breath, I got my VIN on Wednesday, so the car is built, but care, fleet, and customer services are all involved, and not one of them takes responsibility for getting a delivery date. It’s now 5 weeks since the car arrived at the U.K. port. Apparently, there’s no way of Volvo finding out when your car is allocated a transporter to take it to a dealer. It’s totally random. No system in place to see where you are in a queue. I’ve been emailing and calling 3 times a week. And I get the same stock reply. ‘No news, we’ll keep you updated if we hear anything’. Incredible service from what I considered a reliable brand. I’ve had 4 Volvos over the last 29 years. This is by far the worst experience I’ve ever had.
