I do think the 740/760 940 saloon do look better than the estate. I always think the boot is more practical for a big LPG tank conversion. Like the styling of the saloon.
Headliner drooping. My 1986 740 did the same! Believe the back window is laminated glass rather than toughened. Presume bonded to give roof strength. I have an estate due to being more practical. James. ![]() Last edited by volvo always; Jan 7th, 2021 at 21:12. |

Thanks James, yeah I've got no need for an estate and much prefer the look of the saloons, like a big swedish luxury barge where as the estates just look like a barge haha.

Try putting an IKEA sofa into your saloon, or a complete, flat-pack kitchen.

A few more photos now that it isn't foggy.
I gave it a wash and the one wing badge fell off as I touched it 😂 so the other wing badge will be removed as I don't like them. ![]() IMG-20210108-WA0002 by Luke Ryland - Flickr2BBcode LITE ![]() IMG-20210108-WA0012 by Luke Ryland - Flickr2BBcode LITE ![]() IMG-20210108-WA0004 by Luke Ryland - Flickr2BBcode LITE ![]() IMG-20210108-WA0006 by Luke Ryland - Flickr2BBcode LITE ![]() IMG-20210108-WA0008 by Luke Ryland - Flickr2BBcode LITE ![]() IMG-20210108-WA0014 by Luke Ryland - Flickr2BBcode LITE ![]() IMG-20210108-WA0016 by Luke Ryland - Flickr2BBcode LITE ![]() IMG-20210108-WA0018 by Luke Ryland - Flickr2BBcode LITE |

In general I prefer the look of the estates (I'm biased...!) but I must say yours does look the business.
