  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way

No its not fine , It is fine regarding freezing ( -37C) but the corrosion inhibitor is weak , they left the factory like this , a faulty batch of coolant ..
Use genuine volvo Blue/Green coolant you wont get better value anywhere considering it never needs changing especially if you buy from the dealers on ebay .......

So you don't ever have to change the coolant on a regular basis?

No , Volvo have never specified a coolant change interval , my 1988 343 still has its original green volvo coolant , clean and bright and protects to -37C .....
Everything else on it is original too except for brake pads and exhaust silencers . .

Thanks Clan. So every other manufacturer who quotes 2-3 years is just on a money maker?

Oh no , They need it , why would they use high quality coolant if they could save money by using the 2 or 3 year stuff ...!
volvo specified this high quality coolant back in the 1970's ..... Im not sure if other High quality cars use it too... ??

Sorry not sure, my experience being tainted slightly by years of "much more advanced engineering" in VW / Audi cars
