Guys name is Evgeny, giving him your model, year and vin number.
Assuming you already have power assisted struts.

I tried scrolling down and found a link, we are talking about Two different things here, the link takes you to purchasing a pair of power assisted struts at around $499 - 549 worth, where my post was for modification to a vehicle that already has power assisted struts. Sorry if I’m causing confusion.

Only once it has successfully completed this procedure does it return to normal operation.

The struts are a 'worm drive' they do work manually but with a lot of force, in my opinion it would be impossible for it to 'slam' shut.

These are my opinions formed from fitting testing and usage over three weeks
If you're satisfied I'm certainly not trying to change that, just wanted to make people aware. It's hard to know how much work goes into a controller like the boot until you've been involved in it

By the way, I was referring to an internal failure of the module driving the boot shut at full speed, not it physically falling by itself.

Go to the original post, Just after the word retrofit (under the picture), there is a “^ “ ( albeit the other way up) press that and it will take you to the link
