Why are you not fan of tuning? This 5cyl engine is supposed to be good with it ..

Maybe I don't press enough
I have a lot of experience of working alongside others who chip and undertake performance upgrades.

They have considerable problems post chipping, often the next day/week.

It’s not for me. It’s especially not for me when you could sell your D3 and get a D4 which is Volvos own solution and run 180BHP.

You could also buy the D4 and for the Volvo approved polestar upgrade and you would be running the same power you are looking at.

I would expect a lot of troubles moving forward and the companies will not stand by their products.

Just my own views and experience, others rate them highly:

If you feel your brakes arent working that well and you need to upgrade, it might be an idea revisiting what brakes pads and discs you are running. Best brake parts are OEM and also ensuring you have had a recent brake fluid flush.

Brakes lines also tend to go weak on these cars as they are getting old now so its also worth replacing the brake lines if these have never changed. Braided lines are again overkill and the oem lines should be more than upto the job.

So simply put, if you have brake issues on the current setup (Pads / discs etc) replace these with OEM parts and get a brake fluid flush done.
Although yes they're overkill I'd always replace brake lines (when they reach the end of their life) with braided hoses as they'll then never need replacing again for the life of the vehicle..

Yeh absolutly, I guess it depends what AlphaScorpii uses it for and budget. Braided lines are a lot more durable but under the performance, even the oem ones are still actually pretty good.

I took my oem brake lines off at around 140k (Been on for the life of the car) and they were perfectly fine and my car does a fair few track days every year.

Finding Volvo C30 R-design, D4, automatic, xenon etc.. is not that easy. I had to go from Croatia to Sweden even for D3..
In croatia and germany, most cars are D2, 2.0d with a lot of kms etc..

Can you give me some fine brand/model of braided hoses so I know what am I actually looking for? Since I can't translate that in my language good.

EDIT:

Think I found some EBC for ~120€.
Maybe buying those braided hoses and new pads would be good upgrade.

Goodridge - https://www.goodridge.co.uk/collecti...=car+brake+kit

HEL- https://auto.helperformance.com/car/...es/brake-lines

I've used Goodridge on 1x car and 1x motorbike, I've used HEL on 1x car, had no issues with either brand.

Just a short update.. After putting new tyres and suspension + new brake oil, now all is good. I think old tyres were the main issue. Thnx!

Sometimes it's good to rewind and go back to basics. And cheaper !
