Is it better to buy the rubber bush, or the whole top mount (which I assume has the bush at fault in). I shall be ringing Rufe for these parts.

You'll appreciate saving time with a face full of suspension spring.

To be honest it's much easier changing these parts with the damper off the car and on a workbench.

As mentioned elsewhere change both parts when you have the chance and use only genuine parts - scantech isn't durable at all.

DO NOT buy the ones from pfv, they dont last nearly as long as the gen ones will. What you save in buying the bits you will pay in having to replace them early.

I bought some two and a half years ago and they will be changed again in february at mot time. I will be getting them from rufe.

I was only ever going to get genuine ones. I only quoted the PfV price as that's all I has to had. Just as a reference.

Every part I buy for the 850 is genuine. And usually from Rufe. Just waiting for a quotation from him for them. And some tailgate struts. And a thermostat. Never ends.

Cheers,
- Rich
