No worries Luke, you'll find the long range tank behind the back seat if it's fitted. The fuel pump is still in the main tank like you know but the long range tank feeds into the normal one and has its own level sender in series with the normal one in the tank. If memory serves it adds about 5 gallons to the toal giving about 18 gallons of fuel for those "longer" journeys.

A nice bit of inspiration for me haha
https://pin.it/2ArHBOL Does anyone know where to get clear lenses from for the prefacelift? If I can't get any then a 940 front end might be in order. |

Some seem to be out of stock at present but there are buttons to "Notify availability".

A bit of bling for the 760 thanks to Mark for giving me first refusal on it!
2021-02-18_08-31-00 by Luke Ryland - Flickr2BBcode LITE I collected a grille for free locally a few months ago before I got the 760 and thought I'd keep it just in case anyone needed it... chrome surround donor now! |

Now I just need to figure out a way of getting the bonnet open as both latches have seized solid after being left open for 12 years and then being shut for the transporter. I've tried spraying wd40 around where the latches would be through the gap between the bonnet and the top of the headlight but no luck

Sounds like yu may have to mix up some WMP - ATF-U and acetone and get that in there to free things off.

So I finally managed to get the bonnet open on the 760 and heavily lubricate the latches... still won't pop open without someone pressing on the bonnet.
But it meant that I got to have a look at the engine bay at last and test fit the egg crate. 20210307_165148 by Luke Ryland - Flickr2BBcode LITE 20210307_134616 by Luke Ryland - Flickr2BBcode LITE 20210307_134645 by Luke Ryland - Flickr2BBcode LITE 20210307_134705 by Luke Ryland - Flickr2BBcode LITE I found that the HT leads have been nibbled on by a mouse, there is some sort of weird aftermarket alarm system that I will have to go through and remove. There is a battery pushing out a whopping 5 volts and there is a bit of ventilation through the battery trays. |
