This video is about the e93 bimmers, but the same applies to the 2nd Gen C70 and other hard top convertibles alike.

You are right about proper maintenance. I use this - I believe it is recommended by Volvo:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00295D0HY/

My car is 16 years old and has no squeaks or rattles.

My favourite thing I've bought is the oven switch for the ignition. I can't remember where I got from and I will post if I can.

It was probably Ebay. Not expensive and it means you can just leave your keys in your pocket - Great!
Indeed it is volvo say never use it on the move for a reason . The roof is very heavy supported on relatively thin frame members and the movement and inertia is going to bend and /or beak the mechanism . Another point depending on the speed you are going the roof will act like an aerofoil generating huge forces .

NBEVER EVE USU THE ROOF MECHANISM ON THE MOVE...

Lots of people use it with success. The 'official' Volvo lube is this particular tincture of angel's tears and extract of unicorn sweat:

Krytox Roof Rubber Care Oil Lubricant

It is priced accordingly, but is an exceptional product IME

Is there an article that explains all the fluid types that I need for the car in relation to auto gearbox fluid, brakes, oil, plugs, etc ?

I watched a youtue video last night about how the T5 engine needs to have the PCV replaced, cam seals, oil pump seals, when doing the cambelt. True ?

I remember seeing some documents about the C70 explaining everything about it but cant find it on the site.

Simon
certainly not you will find the seals bone dry .

Hi all,

so I have my c70. Well pleased. Just read the codes and I have ;

0040 Air Quality sensor internal fault - AC isnt cold.

0055 Inflatable curtain (IC) right resistence is too high - SRS light is on. What is this error ?

DD13 Communication with GDL control module right signal missing
low beam right faulty signal - Right log beam doesnt work. Is it bulb or amp ?
