It gets better...
Just had an email from Volvo customer care saying "I'm assisting in locating your car, please can you tell me the VIN number and order number" Surely it should all be on my record now? Come on VolvoUK, it really shouldn't be this hard to track a car! |

Good news. Mine arrived at the dealer yesterday, and can be collected from tomorrow. Hilarious though, as customer services emails me at 4.30 last night saying it was still in the port and I was looking at mid March.

Who or what is the importer? I’d have thought the importer was Volvo UK or a subsidiary thereof. Or by ‘importer’ do they mean the company directly responsible for shipping and delivery which probably isn’t Volvo or Volvo UK. Either way, someone (and I’d argue it’s Volvo UK’s responsibility) should know the exact status of the delivery because the alternative is that the current process is unfit for purpose.
