The reason for turning off BLIS when attaching a trailer is that the BLIS sensor in these cars are inside the rear corner. They would sense your bike/trailer and instantly drive you mad.
At least in Sweden you only need to mark extending cargo if it's more than one meter behind the car. So unless it's obscuring your tail lights it's fine. Don't know if you have different rules in the UK.
There's no special towing map on these cars, except for turning off BLIS, activating trailer assist, changing the appearance of the image on the reverse/surround camera system and deactivating the car's rear fog light.
Engine and gearbox works the same and the shock absorber mode (for cars with active suspension) you have to remember to change yourself.
