Default Anybody use these Ignition Leads??

The leads on my 97 70R are in good nick and no noticeable issues. But they've been on there 12 years and 60000 miles. Time for a change and I was considering these:

Anybody using them and what's your view?

The leads have been on my car for 28 years and no noticeable issues, if it ain't broke then don't fix it...

They aren't really quality ones on there currently though. Lucas I think, which are pretty cheap in comparison

As far as I know, the original leads used by Volvo are supplied by Bougicord. As 4x4 says, Volvo quality from new does last.

I haven't heard of those leads, so I cannot comment on quality. If you are looking at a good upgrade, go for a known make such as Magnecor.

Hi,

I almost bought these when I stage zeroed my 2.5t but chickened out and bought Magnecore reds. They appear to be very similar overall. If you do go with these, they're £10 cheaper on their website.

The Mags were fine but no better than 24 year old Volvo Bougicords!

What I wouldn't recommend are the current Bougicords as the quality has really dropped off. I returned 2 sets, one from Autodoc. Either that or the Volvo versions were a different production.

Best regards,

Rich.

I ordered a set for a customers car as at the time they were the only available.

They did not fit, lengths were wrong and the plug ends would not seal into the head. Sent them back for the to be fixed but they came back with exactly the same problem. Company just wasted everyones time and money with them
