Strange intermittent extra cranks when starting V40 T2 ‘65
Morning all,
Apologies if this has already been asked on the forum. I have checked and I cannot find a similar issue. My T2 will start on first time press of the start button, every time. However, occasionally and usually after a long run on the motorway the next time I go to turn the car on it will crank 5 or 6 times before firing up, sounding almost as if she is struggling to start for those 5 cranks. Most times it will fire up after the second crank. Not too sure what might be causing this. The 5 cranks are not weak as to suggest low battery. I was thinking maybe pressure in the fuel lines but this would not explain it being intermittent. Can anyone offer any kind of advice please? Thank you kindly. |
