Default radiator fan running

hi folks looking for a bit of advice if possible
having pulled my caravan for a couple of hours and parked up with ignition off fan was still running ,temperature was normal on dash,i am guessing that the intercooler was getting a little too hot
can anyone enlighten me cheers for any info

You don't say which car you are driving, but in general, especially following a spell of heavy load towing, there is nothing unusual in that the engine coolant fan continues to run for a short while after ignition off.

Mine does it too after long towing periods and I know to expect it on occasions.

Not likely to be inter-cooler related though as temperatures there are - erm - temperate.

To be safe though, I would make sure that displayed temperature on the engine temperature gauge was withing normal specs when engine in service and towing.
