Default South West France and back

We have just been away for two weeks from the North of Scotland to the Dordogne and back

Just under 3,000 miles covered (1995 940 estate 2.4Tdic 174k) no issues what so ever

In fact the engine runs smoother and cleaner than before we left. It is as if we have had a de-coke.

Not at anytime did I top up the oil or water level

Just thought it was worth sharing ;-)

My ‘91, used to love a good workout! Six cylinder Swiss watch when I got home!🧐😁👍

Great to hear you made the journey without issues, quite a few people say that if you give a D24 a good run they quieten down afterwards as you've found out yourself.

Good to here your D24 did so well its probably difficult but woud be good to see your car and mine together to compare notes .I have just had my last oil change annalise and comes back with good health on engine wear ! My problem as with a few 900 these days is controlling the rust as its used all year round what part of the country are you in?

liddy where ru ? we are 40 miles north of Inverness

"My ‘91, used to love a good workout! Six cylinder Swiss watch when I got home!🧐😁👍"

Exactly that ......never known an engine like it. Obviously they benefit from extended runs.

Running an M90 gearbox at 70mph, the engine was doing just 2750rpm, so minimum stress while cruising comfortably

Don't know if this link will work
