Can anyone tell me how to remove the 'Spring Out' cup holder which is situated next to the radio on our 02my V70.
The spring appears to have broken and it won't stay in which is anoying. Anyone else had this problem Thanks for any advice Pge |

Theres a list of instructions in the stickies on the S60 forum....although they are for a XC70..they are still valid for the S60/V70

Hi,
Haven’t taken the holder out myself. But check attachment as to how Volvo recommends it is done! I reckon the tool can be made from my favourite tool the wire coat hanger! Hope it helps? BobS |

Not had this problem, but the 'ratchet' has broken. I cannot get the arms to stay in and hold the cup. Is this fixable? I suspect a spring has popped off too, as it was broke when i bought the car at 8600 miles. I cant see the ratchet being worn out at that low mileage....

Not fixable and very common, they now fit a version with rubber flaps, which look rubbish, instead of the ratchet and this is what a dealer would fit if you made a warranty claim.

All that's needed is small fingers! Not saying this is always the cure but has worked for me. |
