Default Trim in the tunnel console creaking (XC90)

Hi everyone,

I own an October 2020 XC90 recharge.

The piece of trim covered in leather in the tunnel console creaks very much when touched.

I noticed other parts of the car do too (for example the trim on the roof with the sunroof controls), but this specific trim is very annoying as it more likely for me to touch it while driving and hear constant creaks…

I watched a few YouTube videos and it seems like the whole tunnel must be disassembled to get to that piece of trim. It does not seem the case of it simply being pulled out and back in.

Anyone has the same creaking issue and has done something to solve it?

Thanks a mil

My V70 and my last V60 creaked terribly.

In each case, I just took a can of silicon trim spray and emptied the can into every joint I could find where I thought sounds were coming from. When it was nearly dry, I polished the leather and plastic parts that were exposed, leaving the silicon oil/polish film in all the gaps.

Noises stopped.

My ‘23 V90 CC has the same problem. I am also looking for a solution.
