Default Diesel filter removal

Hi What tool type do I need to remove the diesel filter on a 2007 S80 P3 D5? I'm going to jack up on axle stands at the road side so access will be limited. Thx

If it's the same as my Vaux was it's simply a 32mm socket and a bucket to catch the fuel, I never messed around draining it first, 20 mins job once you've done one.

I bought this tool

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Sealey-VS64...c=1&th=1&psc=1

Also used small plastic hose to drain off first as quite a lot of fuel comes out

FWD is easier than AWD but there are still bits in the way which is why the tool makes it easier

Mine appears not to have any ridges for a key of any type, I Have spent 2hrs under the car in freezing conditions using a metal strap tool without success. Has anybody else found the filter this difficult to gain access to?

Nope. It should be the same as in the video but the tool makes it easier.

Found unbolting rear ARB on the XC and moved it aside let me pull the filter. It was a mare of a job first time round without removing it. Diesel up the arm isn't pleasant.

To remove it, I used my largest set of water pump pliers. It wasn't tight. Despite being suspect original.

Second time round was easy once ARB was unbolted.

After having a better look the diesel filter cap does have 16 flutes around the edges. I managed to purchase what I thought was the correct socket 86mm 16 flutes but this is to small. Getting well and truly p....d of now. Can anyone tell me what size removal tool is needed please?
