Default 940 estate early and late rear seat differences - with pics

Thought this might be of interest. I attempted and failed to install early 940 estate rear seats into my late (96) car.

Obvious differences include

Backrest lower pivot different height
Backrest side latching mechanism different height (possibly related to above)
Backrest additional internal latching mechanism near pivot
Bolt in brackets to support the additional latching
Separate headsets non lowering
No booster seat
No 3 point middle seatbelt
Different lower cushion latching mechanism using a lever not a pull

This shows how far the backrest is off from fitting on the original welded brackets on a later car. The lower cushion just about fits but would need the earlier car side latch retrofitting.

Is there a big difference in weight of the backrests?
